Summary:

For Hexic I was the lead designer as well as the artist on the project. We were attempting to solve the challenge of bringing the rotating mechanics of the Hexic franchise to a F2P model for Microsoft’s Win 8 launch. In addition we started from a visual design style that mimics many of the flat style UI that was a signature of the Win 8 OS.
